Marmot
The Marmot company was born in 1974 through a desire by its founders, Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley to make quality mountaineering apparel. However, it wasn't until 1976 in a meeting with W.L Gore and Associates that the Marmot brand really took off. They were able to see the potential in the new Gore-Tex fabric and began manufacturing everything they produced in the revolutionary fabric, including all their down garments and sleeping bags. Marmot therefore, are the oldest customer of Gore in the world. They have brought the 30 plus years of experience with Gore-Tex into the present day with their superb range of sleeping bags, tents and clothing. They now produce products for rock climbing and bouldering, alpine climbing, trail running, hiking and backpacking, camping, adventure travel and general outdoor lifestyle apparel. Marmot is all about the highest quality performance product.
