Café Altitude

Café Altitude is situated above the Adventure Peaks outdoor shop and climbing wall and from your comfortable seat you can watch the climbers on the wall through the glass viewing panels whilst enjoying a drink - or more. Alpine specialities are on offer such as raclette & tartiflette, as well as local goodies like Cumberland sausage and bacon butties. You don't have to be a climber to come here - just be someone who appreciates good quality, locally sourced (where possible) food.

We reckon the Café has the best views in Ambleside - you can look out onto the northern and western aspects which affords fantastic views and stunning panoramas across the fells, including Todd Crag and Loughrigg in the west, reaching right across to the Fairfield Horseshoe in the north.
