Course Information

This course will recap on essential skills whilst undertaking a careful programme of acclimatisation. It will take in two peaks from Aiguille Rouge (2800m), Petit Fourche (3520m) and Aiguille du Tour (3554m) thus giving you the best possible chance of a successful ascent of Mont Blanc. We offer a choice of either the classic route to Mont Blanc’s summit via the Dome de Gouter or the traverse of the North-East Ridge via Mont Maudit and Mont Blanc du Tacul. Should adverse weather conditions be experienced alternative peaks will be attempted. Guide Ratio 1:4 (3 days) 1:2 (3 days).

Included: Instruction, Guides expenses, Hut accommodation (half board), Valley accommodation (B&B)
Not included: Insurance, Transport to Chamonix, Lunches and valley evening meals, Telepheriques approx £50

Day 1 Arrive, evening briefing overnight hotel
Day 2 Glacier day, overnight alpine hut
Day 3 Traverse of the Aiguille Rouge (2800m) or Petit Fourche overnight Alpine hut
Day 4 Ascent of Aiguille du Tour (3554m), overnight hotel
Day 5-7 Ascent of Mont Blanc
Day 8 Depart
