Course Information
The attractive resort of Zermatt nestles amongst many of the largest,
most impressive mountains in the Alps including the Matterhorn. It
provides an ideal base from which to tackle a variety of popular 4000m
peaks. Throughout the week you will stay as high up as possible using
some of the excellent mountain huts in this area.The course will be
progressive allowing time for acclimatization before attempting the
ascent of the Monta Rosa, Switzerland’s highest peaks and the second
highest in the Alps.Guide Ratio: 1:2.
Included: Instruction, Guides expenses, Hut accommodation (half
board), Valley accommodation (B&B)
Not included: Insurance, Transport to Zermatt, Lunches and valley
evening meals, Telepheriques approx £50
The itinerary may vary according to the weather and conditions but we hope
to do:
Day 1 Arrive Zermatt, overnight hotel
Day 2 Meet Guide, gear check and ascent of Breithorn 4165m
overnight Alpine Hut
Day 3 Ascent of Castor 4228m and possibly Pollux 4092m
Day 4 Possible ascent of Liskamm West 4479m
Day 5 Monta Rosa Hut
Day 6 Ascent of Monta Rosa 4795m
Day 7 Descend Monta Rosa glacier then Gornergrat train to
Zermatt
Day 8 Depart

Mont Blanc Extension
Extend your stay for our Mont Blanc Extension
This extension is for those who have completed an alpine
introductory/training course and would like to extend their
stay to
attempt Mont Blanc, Western Europe’s highest mountain. Extends your
stay by four days. Guide Ratio 1:2.
Included: Instruction, Guides expenses, Hut accommodation (half
board), Valley accommodation (B&B)
Not included: Insurance, Transport to Chamonix, Lunches and valley
evening meals, Telepherique approx £30
