SEA STACK CLIMBING

Our great Sea Stacks: The Old Man of Stoer, Am Buachaille and the Old Man of Hoy offer some of the most spectacular climbing in Britain. If you are confident seconding climbs of VS (Stoer) or HVS (others), then this climbing expedition will provide an achievable challenge in the wild and remote areas of Sutherland and Orkney. The prices are inclusive of Guiding/Instruction only. Accommodation is available in local B&B’s or Camping. Transport can be shared from Ambleside on a shared petrol basis and airport pickups from Glasgow International will be available. In the days allocated we will have a very good chance to complete the planned ascents and more, but this is weather dependant.

CORNWALL – INTRODUCTION TO
SEA CLIFF CLIMBING

This course is aimed at those with previous climbing experience , either leading or seconding who want to gain the additional skills or confidence to attempt climbs safely on our wonderful sea cliffs.We will provide instruction and assist you to get to grips with rigging and descending by Abseil and protecting your partner, Tyrolean traverse, Prusiking, Hoisting and of course understanding Tides. Time will be available to coach your leading techniques or simply your movement as a second.
