Background
The breathtaking pinnacles of the Dolomites are well known to climbers around the world. Dating back to the First World War, the Italians had to fix iron ladders and wire cables to the rock to enable them to access mountain top military positions. Today these ‘Iron Ways’ have been turned into exciting routes for the keen scrambler to travel safely through the mountains in situations that would normally be the domain of the expert climber. The course is based from our base in Cortina. Although no climbing experience is required, a good level of fitness, some scrambling experience and sense of adventure is essential.
