The breathtaking pinnacles of the Dolomites
are well known to climbers around the world.
Dating back to the First World War, the Italians
had to fix iron ladders and wire cables to the
rock to enable them to access mountain top
military positions. Today these ‘Iron Ways’ have
been turned into exciting routes for the keen
scrambler to travel safely through the
mountains in situations that would normally be
the domain of the expert climber.
Accommodation is a combination of cosy
mountain huts and valley hotels. Although no
climbing experience is required, a high level of
fitness and sense of adventure is essential.

Cortina/Corvara, 7 breakfasts, 3 dinners.

THE BOCCHETTE WAY
Based in the Brenta Dolomites, the course
involves a hut to hut traverse of the main
Brenta group taking you through some of the
most spectacular rock scenery in this region.
The Bocchette Way is a classic, and as famous
as the ‘Haute Route’ in the Alps. The route is
never extreme, but you will encounter
spectacular high traverses along very narrow ledges, ladders, cables, snow and glaciers. It is a
hut based journey suitable for those who have
had some previous experience of Via Ferrata
or UK grade 3 scrambling.
INCLUSIONS: 6 days instruction, 2 nights
hotels, 5 nights in Alpine Rifugio, 7 breakfasts,
