Climb the highest peak in Africa -Kilimanjaro. A land of contrasts and natural wonders.
Mt.
Meru And Kilimanjaro 5895 metres
This
expedition to the summit of Africa’s highest mountain, includes
a thorough programme of acclimatisation. It combines the ascent
with the nearby extinct volcano; Mt Meru, a wonderful four day
climb that provides the opportunity to see plenty of wildlife
which is often scarce on Kilimanjaro. Before transferring to Kilimanjaro,
we visit the Arusha National Park game reserve where we can expect
to see elephant, buffalo, giraffe, antelope and numerous birds.
Having acclimatised on Mt Meru, you should be in good shape to
enjoy the ascent of Kilimanjaro by the Rongai route, perhaps the
most remote and quietest route to the summit. We return to the
valley via Mweka track.
SAFARI
(EXTEND YOUR STAY FOR A 3 DAY SAFARI)

Lake Manyara Park is a fresh water lake in the
Rift Valley part of Tanzania. Animals youmay see include hippos,
elephants, flamingos, wildebeest, giraffes, baboons and lions.
Ngorongoro Crater one of theworld’s largest
craters packedwith just about every species of wildlife to be
found in East Africa. This is also a favoured place for the localmassi
tribes people.
Tarangire Park on the course of the Tarangire
Riverwhere the park fillswith zebra, leopards, lions, elands,
buffalo, giraffes and elephants.
Altitude
Warning
We take acclimatisation seriously and will not do a five
or six day dash up Kilimanjaro. It is not only unfair but success
rates are poor and there is a serious risk of people suffering
from Acute Mountain Sickness. Our success rate is 99.9% and we
have had no clients suffer any serious effects of altitude. We
want you to have an enjoyable time and come back formore.
Level
of Support
A member of Adventure Peaks will lead the expedition alongside
our local guide and team of porters.
