Pumori is a spectacular and challenging 7000m peak.
Background
At 7161m, Pumori is a fantastic Himalayan
mountain offering unrivalled views of the
massive Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse. This
spectacular peak is situated directly
opposite Everest, across the magnificent
Western Cwm glacier. The approach
weaves through the Khumbu valley and
offers a moderately technical route, often
regarded as one of Nepal’s easier 7000m
peaks. One or two camps are established
above Advance Base Camp and this
ascent is ideal preparation for those
wishing to tackle Everest or one of the
more technical 8000m peaks. We have
had good success on previous expeditions
to Pumori.
Level of support
The team will be led by an experienced
Adventure Peaks Leader and we have
established a good infrastructure and
employ a regular and strong team of loyal
Sherpa staff. They are supported by an
equally professional team of cooks, creating
Base Camp facilities that are very
comfortable, allowing you to relax and build
up strength before ascending higher.
