Pre Expedition Meetings
Our programme of monthly weekend training meets is unique to Adventure Peaks as we invite all clients from all expeditions to each month’s meet, not just one specified weekend for a particular expedition. These weekends provide you with the opportunity to meet us and your fellow expedition/course members, as well as others on other expeditions/courses. They will allow you the opportunity to ask questions, gather information and check your equipment needs, as well as having a good day on the hill.

The weekends are flexible to allow you to join us at any point over the weekend. Saturday normally involves a good long walk followed by a group meal in the near-by pub. On Sunday folks tend to do either another walk, rock climbing, or shopping.

These weekends are held in Scotland for January, February and March to allow us winter walking and climbing. For the rest of the year they are either in North Wales or the Lake District. (A full list of dates & venues will be sent on booking).
These weekends are informal and optional. Past expedition members have commented just how valuable these weekends are, as well as being enjoyable.

The weekends are free, but you have the option to book direct instruction at a reduced cost on Navigation, Climbing or Winter Skills from as little as £30 per day.

Team Composition
The team leader provided by Adventure Peaks will climb and work with the group to create a team approach to the expedition thus allowing greater flexibility and self reliance away from direct guiding. The strength of our expeditions has always been in our ability to develop such a team approach. Success and enjoyment is our main aim, therefore members need to be good team members with appropriate experience for their chosen expedition.

Come and visit us…
Our office is based in the centre of Ambleside so it is convenient for anyone to call in and meet us to discuss any expedition or course, view photos, discuss equipment and have a chat. On prior arrangement, a weekend visit may be arranged (if we are not climbing or walking for ourselves).
