Climb Ama Dablam With Adventure Peaks

18th Nov They were delayed for one day in Lukla due to bad weather but the whole team are now safely back in Kathmandu enjoying a shower, good food and a couple of lemonades!

12th Nov Nigel turned around just short of the summit after a valiant effort. The team are now on their way back down to base camp. Well done to all the team.

11th Nov Summit Success At 9am this morning Ben, Ian, Alun & Lama Babu Sherpa reached the summit of Ama Dablam closely followed by Stephen and Pasang Nima Sherpa. Nigel and Phurdwa Sherpa were leaving a bit later and are on their way to the summit. Due to the time difference we will update again tomorrow when we know more about the group.

10th Nov Malcolm & Adele have had to return to Kathmandu but are fine and being well looked after. The rest of the team are heading back up the mountain and all being well we could see a summit attempt as early as the 11th November - Good luck folks

7th Nov The group have just returned to base camp having spent time at Camp1 and climbed upto camp 2. They will now rest at BC before moving up to camp 2.

3rd Nov Ben called in today, they have made their first carry to ABC at 5400m. Tomorrow they will move up to ABC. They plan to spend a night at Camp 1 and then climb to Camp 2, visit Camp 2 and head back down. Everyone is feeling good and looking forward to the days ahead.

31st Oct Ben and the team have now reached Base Camp and are settling into their new home for the next few weeks. Everyone is well and enjoying the luxuries of the mess tent complete with heating. They received a blessing in Pangboche and in a couple of days will start to head up toward Camp 1. Reports from other teams on the mountain seem to indicate that the route is in good condition this year.

29th Oct The team had a good day around Namche Bazaar today, they walked up to Kumjung to visit the monastery, breathe some thin air and stretch the legs. It was about a five hour round trip and the team are going well.

Ben claims "The bakery in Namche gets better every time i visit. Coffee and Apple pie....."

Pangboche tomorrow and base camp the day after, all on schedule so far...

26th Oct All the team have now arrived in Kathmandu and are due to fly to Lukla tomorrow.

23rd Oct Ben and the team will depart from the UK on the 24th October.
