01/08/06 - 9am GMT:
The
team arrived at Skardu yesterday, they will head out today by jeep
on a 7 hour journey to Askole. From Askole they will start their
trek towards K2 Base Camp along the Baltoro Glacier.

10/08/06 - 11am GMT:
The
team arrived at K2 Base Camp yesterday, Robert, Clifford, Mingma Sherpa & Nerru Sherpa have moved up to the base of Kharut Pyramid. The sherpa's have gone on ahead to fix any line required. Rob & Clifford will set off in the early hours of tomorrow morning to make an attempt on the summit.

11/08/06 - 10am GMT:
Robert, Clifford and the two sherpa's headed up for the summit of Kharut Pyramid this morning. After a stirling effort clifford reached 6300m, where he decided to stop and basque in the sun while waiting for the others who continued on. Robert and the sherpa's reached the Western summit which is 10 metres lower than the main summit, unfortunately the ridge between the two summit was heavily double corniced and was considered too dangerous to cross for the sake of another 10 metres. The group returned to Kharut Pyramid base camp that day and should be back at K2 base camp today.
