August - SUMMIT SUCCESS!!
'Just a quick one from Nairobi to let you know that we all made
it up Kili ok. It took us 6 hours from the top camp after leaving
at 1am. The timing was great as we got to Stella Point just as the
sun came up and ahead of others on the mountain. A pretty quick
descent saw as at the camp in the forest by mid afternoon.
We're back at the hotel for a meal with Daniel before the flight
tonight.' Rich
11th
August - Rich has just texted from Kilimanjaro
where the team are on day 3 of their climb. Everyone is well and
looking forward to the summit night.
6th
August - Everyone has successfully summited
Pt Leana as the sun rose. They will now make their way back to Nairobi
and onwards to Kilimanjaro
4th
August - The team are currently approaching
Shipton's Camp on Mt Kenya. Weather has been good but incrediably
cold at night
21st
June - The team will depart the UK on the
31st July.
