Oct - Success -The Group woke at 10pm on Wednesday night to half a metre of snow covering the tents. The mess tent was flattened under the weight. However despite the setback the group left at just after 11pm. Due to the conditions underfoot two of the group decided to turn back just before reaching Gilman Point a fine effort considering what the weather had thrown at them. Michael decided to turn round soon after Gilman Point. Joan, Morag, Sally, Lucy, Stuart, John, Gerry & Mike went on to reach Uhura Point. Well done to all the team for a fantastic effort.

heading up to Kibo hut today, everyone is in good health and are
looking forward to the summit night.
