Oct The satellite phone signal wasn't
great but we've just got the news that Chris & Jari summited
Mera Peak on Saturday. Henry & Mike both stayed at High Camp.
They're now heading north up the Hunku Valley aiming to cross the
Amphu Labsta in a couple of days on their way to Island Peak
14th
Oct Chris called today the team are
now in Khare, they have had some very challenging weather up to
now and nobody so far has reached the top of Mera Peak. However
the weather has improved dramatically over the last day or so and
this should give the team a good chance at grabbing the summit.
Everyone is feeling good and looking forward to their first Himalayan
peak.
7th
Oct The team have now reached Pangkong,
there has been some light rain, but other than that the team are
doing fine.
6th
Oct The
team arrived in Kathmandu on schedule and have now flown to Lukla and commenced their trek to Mera Peak base camp.
2nd
Oct The
team will depart on the 3rd October.
