9th
August - The team have had a couple of days trekking around Karakol, they have also had the chance to visit the hot springs before having to head back home.
5th
August - Dave, Michelle, Alex H & Zac Reached the top of Chapayev, Sarah & Jac turned round at 5000m and retunred to BC. Alex S stayed at camp 2 while the team went for the top. All are now back down safe.
25th
July - The team have now helicoptered into Base Camp on the North side of Khan Tengri. Everyone is fine and adjusting well to the altitude. The team will have a rest day tomorrow and maybe some initial exploratory walks.
22nd
July - The team have arrived in Bishkek and are now on their way to Karakol, where they will spend the night and make final preparations. |
