Stok Kangri News 3rd September 2011

19th Sep - St John and Nicholas decided to opt for a more technical peak than Stok Kangri so climbed the Northern shoulder of Kangyatse (6200m). The weather was not particularly kind to them for their summit bid so they came back one day early and went up to Khardong La. They are both doing fine and enjoying their expedition.

16th Sep - Dean eamiled in today to say that all the team reached the summit of Kilimanjaro. They are now back down in the valley having a rest before their flight home. Well done to all the team.

11th Sep - All the team reached the summit of Kilimanjaro this morning at 6.30 am. Dean said that the whole team made a great effort to overcome the challenges that Kilimanjaro presented to them.

10th Sep - The team have just got down to Mweka gate. 6 out of 8 of the group reached the summit. Everyone is tired but looking forward to the hotel. Well done to all.

Kilimanjaro Lemosho Glades 21st August 2011 Trek News

29th Aug - Mike sent a message to say that the team made their summit bid today, four of the team plus Mike reached the top. They are now all back down at camp and looking forward to a relaxing night in the hotel.

25th Aug - The team have descended to Baranco Camp after spending the night at Moir Camp. All is well with the group and they are enjoying the views.

An Impressive Introduction to The World of 7000m Peaks Current Trips

24th Aug - Chris has called in today to update us on the teams progress. Peter C decidced to stay at Camp 2 on the final summit bid. Chris, Peter E & Peter W moved up to Camp 3 at 6400m on the 21st Aug and planned to start out for the summit at 5am. When the time came the winds were very strong, so the tema decided to stall their start until the winds had abaitied. At 8:15am they set out for the summit, The weather was perfect for them. Peter E reached a height of 6625m before deciding to call it a day. Leaving Chris and Peter W to battle on up. Finally they reached the summit at 2:15pm. They then descended and cleared down to Camp 2 reaching the camp at 7:15pm. A fantastic effort by all. The team are now down at base camp and will arrive back in Bishkek on the 26th. They will fly home on the 28th Aug.

12th Aug - Carrie has sent a message to say the team are now down at top camp after their summit bid. Will and Fred decided to turn round at just over 5000m, the rest of the team along with 3 local guides managed to bag the summit. Well done to all for their efforts. After a short rest and a bite to eat they will descend to a lower camp and then walk back to the park gate tomorrow.

11th Aug - Al emailed in this evening to say that they are now back in La Paz. Mike, Graham, Mike, David & Vincent reached the summit along with leaders Al & Cecillio the local guide. Alan and Mary broke 6000m so are happy with their efforts. Tony decided not to attempt the summit but was happy with all the peaks he'd achieved on the trip. Well done to all.

The team are now all back safe at ABC 27th May 09.00
The final team members have arrived now at the North Col and will carry on down to ABC today. Where some welcome milky tea and some proper food will greet them. Once again well done to all the team especially Heather, Simon and Bhola for keeping track of where people where on the mountain through the night.
