Aconcagua 27th January 2012 Expedition News

11th Feb: Liam phoned in today to say that the group are now at Camp 2. The team are all well and are hoping to make their summit attempt tomorrow, weather permitting.

6th Feb: Liam called in today they have made their first carry to camp 1 yesterday and had a rest day today. The weather so far has been very good unlike the rest of the season has been and the forecast for this week is looking good for their summit attempt. The team will move up to camp 1 tomorrow and begin their first load carry to camp 2 on Wednesday. All being well they plan to make their summit attempt on Saturday.

5th Feb: Liam contacted us to say that the team have reached Basecamp. Everyone is fit and feeling really well.

1st Feb: The team all arrived safely and are starting their trek into base camp today.

24th Jan: The team will depart the UK on the 27th Jan for Mendoza.

I hear that there a day behind due to an instructor having delayed flights? Is hi correct and will this give them less chance of reaching the top?
