Grivel Plume K3 Wire Gate carabiners are made from a forged 7000-series aluminum which is also used for Grivel's ice axe shafts. It offers the best balance between weight, breaking strength and durability. 
Each carabiner is individually strength tested and has its individual test number laser carved on it

The Plume K3 is highly suitable for ice and mixed climbing as the wire gate prevents the gate from freezing shut.
