Background
Located at the southern tip of mainland South America, the rugged territory of Patagonia
is renowned for its breathtaking scenery. At its centre is the Torres del Paine National Park
complete with its pink granite towers, deep blue lakes and spectacular glaciers.
The circuit of the Paine Massif is without doubt one of the world’s greatest walks. The
walk, 100 kilometres (60 miles), involves 6 days of continual walking, enhanced by day hikes
to the most spectacular viewpoints in the Ascencio and Frances valleys. The walk is supported
by a team of pack horses and porters so you will be free of heavy loads to enjoy some of the
most dramatic mountain scenery on the planet.
