Our successful 2017 Mount Everest North Ridge Expedition saw 6 out of 7 of the team reach the summit. Read the full report of this year’s expedition by leader Sean James.
100% Cho Oyu Summit Success. Every member of the AP team and our sherpa, Onchyou summited Cho Oyu on a perfect day. The snow was crisp and good under food. a little wind blew the clouds away and we had views of almost every Himalayan mountain you can think of. We are looking forward to getting back to Kathmandu and the delights there.
Although Peak Communism wasn’t a success this year we had an awesome trip and great success on Peak Korzhenevskaya, enjoy this photo of the team on the Summit.

10th May The team made their summit bid but depspite their best efforts were thwarted by the weather. All other teams left base camp a couple of days ago, having been unsuccessful on the mountain. The team are now down at base camp and have decided not to make any further summit attempts. After resting at base camp they will make their journey back to Lukla via the Amphulapsa.
28th Sept The team are now down at BC. There has been a sherpa & rope fixing meeting and due to the recent avalanche activities, the result of which it has been decided that there will be no further rope fixing for the foreseeable future. This has resulted in the majority of the teams, including our team, on the mountain deciding to abandon any further summit attempts and head back to Kathmandu.
17th August – SUMMIT SUCCESS! The team smashed the route in less than 6 hours from the barrels. All back safe and enjoying the food from our babuska. The weather was perfect and our pictures will surely encourage more visits.
