Team: Edward Farrelly, Craig Dunderdale, Roger Owen, William Colson, Guy Bond

4th Nov: Success!  Despite the recent bad weather Robin, Ed, Craig, Nuru and Nerpu reached the summit this morning. Robin and Craig are currently at Camp 2, Ed is at Camp 1. We lost signal on the sat phone before we could find out where William and Roger got to. We’ll update this once we get back in touch with Robin.

1st Nov Robin called in today, last night deposited 6 – 8 inches of snow, which has made the route to Camp 2 very unstable. They are going to sit it out for a few days in the hope that the snow will clear and stabilised. Guy has decided to call it a day he has picked up a chest bug which he believes will not clear before they have to leave base camp. The rest of the members are at Camp 1. They are now looking at Thursday as a possible summit day. We all wish them luck.

30th Oct The team have been resting at base camp, and are planning to start moving up the mountain tomorrow to be in place for a summit attempt in a few days time. The forecast shows some good weather on its way for a summit attempt.

27th Oct Robin and the team have been up to camp 2 today and dropped back down to camp 1. There is a lot of snow on the ridge, so the team are planning to sit out for a few days before making a summit attempt.

19th Oct Robin called in today. all but Roger reached the summit of Mera Peak, Roger was showing some mild signs of altitude sickness and decided to head back. Roger is now fine and all the group are now at Kingma Dingma. All being well they should arrive at Baruntse base camp in two days time.

16th Oct The group are progressing to schedule and have reached Tagnang (4320m), to date the weather has been quite damp/wet but it is early days! It is planned to summit Mera Peak in three days time before moving onto Baruntse BC better acclimatised.

Robin and the team will depart from the UK on the 9th October.
