9th August – The team are back in La Paz having been to Ilimani, their final peak. The journey to Potosi was struck with some very bad weather which was unusually stormy for this time of year, so the group decided to abandon their attempts and spend the rest of their efforts on Illimani. So after a day in La Paz they set off for the big one. On the way up to advance base camp Steve and Ed had to descend due to stomach illness. The rest of the group persevered. On summit day Steph and Mark returned after a few hours on the mountain also due to stomach illness. The rest of the group (7 in total) summited successfully. The Barkers are heading out for their jungle extension. Ed has decided to head back to Potosi before carrying on to Machu Picchu as planned.

25th July – The whole team bar Steven have just made a successful ascent of their first summit Pico Austria (5100m). Unfortunately Steven picked up a bug but is now on the mend and has rejoined the team for their next objective, the stunning Pequeno Alpamayo.

21st July – After a delay in Miami the whole team are now safely in La Paz and starting their acclimatisation.

15th July – The group will depart the UK on the 19th July
