This Winter Mountaineering Course is ideal for those who have previously completed a Winter Skills Course or Introductory Winter Mountaineering Course and want to take the next step to progress to climb graded Scottish routes.
Introductory to Snow and Ice Climbing is aimed at those who already have basic winter mountaineering skills and want to climb snow and ice at grades II to III. Some previous rock or indoor climbing experience and the ability to belay safely is essential.
The Scottish Winter Skills Weekend is ideal for those with no previous winter hill walking experience, you will learn the basics of cramponing, ice axe arrest and avalanche awareness.
