Corsica GR20 Trek news

13th September: All safely through the famous Cirque de Solitude and enjoying a beer at Haut Asco. A cold front came through recently turning the weather clear but very cold when the sun is not out. Final days walking tomorrow.

13th September: All safely through the famous Cirque de Solitude and enjoying a beer at Haut Asco. A cold front came through recently turning the weather clear but very cold when the sun is not out. Final days walking tomorrow.

12th September: Now at Castel di Vergio in a bizarre hotel at the base of a ski slope. Easy day today after a tough one on Tuesday. Stunning scenery, but looks like our fine weather may be changing. Need good weather on Friday for the celebratred Cirque de Solitude.

10th September: At refuge Petra Piana after a half day walk along a spectacular ridge today. Fine sunny mornings, clouding over in afternoon with thunder. Long day tomorrow. All well, no injuries or illness. .

9th September: Half way at Vizzavona. Weather set fine now. All going well. Bit of luxury in a Moroccan run hotel before going up to mountain refuges for the next 3 nights.

6th September: Finally a sunny day! Long day following a ridge with lots of ups and downs and a long descent at the end of the day to nice accomodation at the Col de Verde.

5th September:Now at Refuge Usciolu after a 6hr day, final 2 hours along the top of a fine ridge. Cloudy today, pleasant walking.

Yesterday foul. Heavy rain England would be proud of, but we battled up granite slabs running with water to cross a ridge and descend to Crocce bergerie. Hoping to see the sun soon.

3rd September: . All well after good first day. Rain last night but nice walking weather today.lots of cloud and a very cold wind here at ‘Bergerie de Asinau’

2nd September: The team are flying out today. We all wish them a great trek!
