Elbrus Expedition 20th August

Elbrus 20th August – Leader Martin Doyle 

29th August
Success! All Clients reached the summit this morning at 0730. The weather has been unsettled for a few days and this was the start of better weather.  Everyone is now back in the hotel.  All good. I’m sure they will  all celebrate their success tonight.

22nd August
The team have all arrived and have set off to Lake Syltrankel at 3000m, and then to camp overnight before our acclimatisation peak of  Mount Mukal.

22nd August

The team have completed their acclimatisation and ascent of Mount Mukal. They were treated to views of Elbrus and most of the Caucasus. Martin said

Vladimir and team were excellent. The weather has now broken up with thunderstorms for a few days. Improvement hopefully at the weekend. Everyone fit and strong. We go up to the Barrels in the morning.
