SUMMIT SUCCESS for the whole team! The weather forecast for the week didn’t hold out much hope but things turned out better than could have been expected and the team acclimatised at Syltran lake before moving onto the mountain. Thunder and lightning were the highlights of most afternoons and evenings but on Saturday night the skies cleared after much new snow and the team were treated to a glorious Sunday morning as they ascended to the summit led by AP Leader Steve and local leader Alex. All the team – Tom, Peter, Scott, Ian and Tony – and their leaders reached the summit. Well done, an excellent effort all round.

29th August

The team are acclimatising well and have just completed trek and wild camp at Syltran Lake.

The team have all arrived safely in Cheget.
