July 16th: We have started on today trek to Bessans (1710m) after a well-earned rest in Val d’Isere. The group enjoyed a meal last night but we had a few sad faces as we discussed only 1 days trekking left before we all depart.

Today is the first day of rain but we are going up to the highest point of the trip before descending down into the valley tonight.

Departs 6th July, starting at Lake Geneva and finishing at Modane

15th July: A quick update from Steve. The weather has been fantastic and walking great every day. We have set off for todays trekking and are on the way to Col de Bonhomme. Two of our group (James and Judy) are taking a rest day and rejoining us in Val d’Iserre to finish the trek.

9th July: The team have reached Samoens after a long and quite tiring day (but they did find a nice little refuge for a good lunch along the way). The weather has been good, some rain and/or thunder in the afternoons. All are getting on well and having a great time.
