Kala Pattar summit

Winter blues getting you down? Why not join us on one of our upcoming adventures. With guaranteed departures across Africa, Asia and South America there’s sure to be something to cure those itchy feet!

December to January is an excellent time to head to the Southern Hemisphere to make the most of the best trekking and climbing season, or for something different how about a winter ascent of Morocco’s highest peak?

Here are some of the highlights for this season:

Winter Mount Toubkal – Morocco

The Atlas Mountains from December to April provide a great opportunity to put your winter walking skills to the test whilst climbing two magnificent snow covered Moroccan peaks in a unique environment.

Mount Kilimanjaro – Tanzania

There are three routes to climb Kilimanjaro, taking you to the Roof of Africa and one of the seven summits. Our routes have been carefully chosen to suit different people’s requirements.

Classic Everest Base Camp Trek – Nepal

This traditional Everest Base Camp trek allows you to admire the Top of the World on perhaps the most famous trek in the world. We also climb Kala Pattar, offering striking picture postcard views of Everest from the south side.

Aconcagua – Argentina

Aconcagua is the highest peak in the Southern and Western hemispheres, the second highest of the Seven Summits and the world’s highest summit outside of the Himalaya. Adventure Peaks has been operating successfully on Aconcagua for over fifteen years and we have gradually developed what we see as the best provision on the mountain, giving you the best chance to acclimatise and retain strength for your summit bid.

Ojos del Salado – Chile/Argentina

Just sixty meters lower than Aconcagua, Ojos del Salado can be found on the edge of the Atacama Desert (the driest spot on earth) and is the world’s highest volcano. Ojos del Salado 360º summit views are beyond description. No crowds on this peak!

Torres del Paine, Patagonia – Chile

Now is the perfect time to visit Patagonia. This is a circular trek around the Torres del Paine Massif, into the heart of Patagonia with breath-taking glacial scenery. Alternatively, take in the Best of Patagonia : Andes – Patagonia – Fitz Roy – Cerre Torre – Torres del Paine – glaciers and penguins and the ends of the Earth at Tierra del Fuego.
