27th October: Kevin and myself Summited Lobuche East in perfect conditions. Everyone on the team is well and on there way back home after a very successful expedition.

All of our objectives were met including climbing Gokyo Ri,  crossing the Cho La pass and getting to Everest Base camp and then climbing Kala Patar while having to deal with some quite bad weather.

16th October: Chris rang today with an update for the team. They arrived at Gorak Shep today after a challenging 14 hour trip over the Cho La Pass in near white out conditions yesterday. This evening they will ascend Kala Patar, for some great views of Everest, weather permitting. The skies are blue at the moment, so they are hopeful for a beautiful sunset.

Everyone is well and in good spirits. In the next few days they plan to climb the main objective, Lobuche Peak. The forecast is looking good for the next few days, so hopefully they will have a good weather window.

12th October: The group have now reached the delightful lakeside village of Gokyo at 4800 metres. Tomorrow they will make the ascent of their first peak, Gokyo Ri (5357m) from where they should get a great view of Everest behind Lobuche Peak. Everyone seems to be acclimatised well and the weather has been kind to them. It looks like a weak front is approaching with some snow forecast for Tuesday, but this should have cleared by the time they cross the Cho La pass on Wednesday.

11th October: Chris called in this afternoon. The group are now well on the way up the Gokyo valley and due to arrive at Gokyo tomorrow. All are feeling great and are acclimatising well.

8th October: The team are now all at Namche Bazaar and doing really well. They have had a few days with lost baggage problems including the Sat phone being delayed due to the airline losing Chris’s bag. They are back on track now and the team are in great spirits and finishing an acclimatisation day. They are heading up into the valley tomorrow and will report in again in 2-3 days.
