  • Nick Hindle says:

Hi. I did a snow and ice refresher with you guys a few years back with a view to climbing Bharuntse.
The trip was cancelled after the earthquakes.
I’m wanting to do Ama Dablam in 2023. It mentions Alpine D required for the trip and a rock grading as a second. Could you advise on refreshers applicable to this expedition.
    Best regards

    • Liz Chegwin says:

Many thanks for your continued interest in our expeditions. Ama Dablam is substantially more technically demanding than Baruntse. In preparation I would suggest Rock Climbing/multi Pitch to grade Severe in Mountaineering boots x 2 or 3 days, then Scottish Snow & Ice Climbing x 5 days to grade III or Matterhorn/Eiger Mittellegi Ridge + been to around 6000m.
