Mera and Island Peak Expedition

4th November

Chris called this morning to say that the team have come up and over the Amphulaptsa Pass and all are doing well. Stephi has headed off towards Everest Base Camp to visit the famous site, and the rest of the team are happy with their efforts and heading down the valley.

30th October

The team are now at Chamlang base camp and will move tomorrow to Panch Pokari Camp.

28th October

Summit Success on Mera Peak. Great news from the Mera Peak team they all reached the summit this morning and are now safe back at camp. The team will now go their seperate ways as the Mera only team will head back to Lukla and the Island Peak group will trek toward the Amphulaptsa pass.

27th October

The team are now at High Camp (5800m) on Mera Peak. They plan to leave at 2am for their summit bid. We wish them well on their climb.

Sadly, Saud injured his knee the other day which meant he could not continue with the trip. He is OK, but now back in Kathmandu having his injury treated.

23rd October

The team are at Khare now and will have a rest day tomorrow before heading over the Mera La.
