Unfortunately due to restrictions with Sat phones in India we don’t expect to have regular updates from this trip. As soon as we receive an update we will post it.

17th September: Arrived safely at Uttarkashi, lovely scenery with a sense of remoteness setting in. Road very exciting! But we have an amazing driver.

Met our cook Sonam and his team today, great meal so we’ve told them they can stay for rest of trip. Currently at 1150m so steeply up to 3000m tomorrow and the end of the road. Meet our 40 porters etc tomorrow night at Gangotri.

15th September: Dave has managed to get a brief update to us. The team are all well and have arrived in Rishikesh before completing the drive to Ultarkashi tomorrow. The drive has been on a really bumpy road so they are now relaxing in in the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India, Rishikesh is known as the Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas.

14th September: Dave Pritt and David Kenyon and the team have all arrived safely and after checking kit and will be getting the Train to Haridwar tomorrow

Dave has completed the 7 summits, led an expedition to Ski the South Pole Last Degree, Satopanth in India and in 2007 he guided Ian McKeever to break the world record for the seven summits in 156 days. He is lucky enough to have climbed on the majority of our advertised peaks, but the Tien Shan remains his favourite destination.
