19th January 2026 - Summit Success on Aconcagua

13th January 2026 - Carry to Camp 3

All reached camp 3 today, hard walk with heavy bags but good day and great views.

11th January 2026 - First Carry to Camp 1

Yesterday, the team made their first carry to Camp 1. Steve said ti was a tough day with heavy packs, but everyone one was glad to reach the camp and deposit the loads, before haeding back down to base camp. Today, they are having a well earned rest day.

8th January 2026 - Arrival at Base Camp.

Steve has reported that the team have now arrived at Plaza Argentinas, the base camp on the Vacas valley side of Aconcagua. Tough day today to base camp at 4,200m, all arrived safely, 8hrs walking, all glad to see camp, started off cold and wet with rain and a very cold river crossing in Crocs, was like needles in our feet it was that cold, rain gave way to snow, then the cloud thinned giving some great views and a bit of welcomed warmth, we are looking forward to a rest day tomorrow before going to camp 1.

6th January 2026 - Camp 1

All team at Pampa de Lenas, good day, hot and dusty as described, but a nice walk and a nice pace, about 5.5hrs, all glad to see camp, now looking forward to the bbq.

4th January 2026 - Arrival into Mendoza

Today, the team arrive into Mendoza, where they will make their final preparations, obtain permits and then head to Penitentes.
