Aconcagua Fast Track - Expedition News 12th February 2026

22nd February 2026 - Attempt on Aconcagua Ended.

Raghav has returned to base camp after reaching around 6500 m on the traverse. He decided to turn back due to fatigue and is now recovering well.

19th February 2026 - Summit bid is on!

Raghav leaves for camp 1 today on the start of his summit bid.

17th February 2026 - First carry

We have done the carry today and have arrived back to the base camp. It was a tough day but good training. Tried the double boots for the carry at Christian’s suggestion which was a great idea!

15th February 2026 - Plaza de Mulas

Arrival at Plaza de Mulas, the base camp for Aconcagua in the Horcones valley.

13th February 2026 - Heading to Penitentes

This morning Raghav met up with Christian. They will run through the briefing and kit check before driving to Penitenetes, where they will organise the equipment for the mules. Tomorrow they will start the two day trek to Plaza de Mulas, the base camp for Aconcagua in the Horcones valley.

10th February 2026 - Ready to Depart

Raghav will be departing the UK tomorrow and arriving into Mendoza in Argentina on 12th Feb.
