Alpamayo - Expedition News - 4th July 2026

20th July 2026 - Alpamayo Summit Success

We've just heard that Mark has reached the summit of Alpamayo. Well done to all and wishing them all a safe descent and trek back out.

19th July 2026 - Alpamayo Summit Bid is On.

The team have made it up to High Camp. Jenine has decided to stay at high camp and not attempt the summit.

13th July 2026 - Ulta Chica Summit

The team have now climbed Ulta Chica and after a brief respite in Huaraz, they will begin their trek in to Alpamayo base camp from Cashapampa.

11th July 2026 - Summit Success on Ishinca

Today, the team reached the summit of Ishinca at 5530m. The next peak will be Ulta Chica.

9th July 2026 - Ishinca Base camp

The team have made it through Churup, across to Paltay and on to Cochapampa to collect the mules to go up to Ishinca base camp. In good spirits and acclimatizing well in preperation for thier first summit, Ishinca (5530m).

6th July 2026 - To Huarez

The team embark on their land journey today, heading off on the 7 hours to Huarez, their acclimatization town before the build up to the main event.

4th July 2026 - Departure Day

The team head out to their departure airport for their long journey to Peru.
