We received news yesterday that David reached the summit of Ama Dablam on Wednesday. The team have now dropped down to Pangboche today and will make their way back to Lukla in the next couple of days.
The team have arrived at Base Camp on the 9th. Yesterday they practiced some of their fixed line skills and abseiling. Today they have trekked up to Yak Camp.
The team were delayed for a day with some weather and a backlog from previous days in Rammechamp. However today they were rewarded with good visibility and views on flight up to Lukla. They are now ready to start the trek in.
The team will depart tomorrow for Kathmandu
Stu Peacock is a very experienced high altitude mountaineer who has been to the Summit of Everest, Broad Peak, Cho Oyu, Manaslu and climbed on K2. His other expeditions include: Ama Dablam, Peak Lenin, Aconcagua, Khan Tengri, Tien Shan Unclimbed, Korzhenevskaya, Himlung Himal, Baruntse, Mera & Island Peak, Alpamayo, Bolivian Peaks, Spantik, Carstensz Pyramid, Elbrus, Mt Kenya and Kilimanjaro. He was the first Brit to summit Everest via the North Ridge 3 times and has climbed Everest from both the North & South sides.
