Leader: Rodrigo and Dave Pritt
Unfortunately, due to weather and general mountain conditions, the team could not attempt a summit of Chimborazo and instead headed to Baños for a very different type of adventure, before heading back to Quito.
Some of the team will now make their way back to Quito over the coming days, whilst the remainder continue on towards their trip extension of Chimborazo.
After some good acclimatization on passachoa, the team, headed over to Illinizas Norte to continue their acclimatization for Cotopaxi and bag another beautifuk summuit!
With a successful climb to summit and a stunning return journey, the team will now head off to Cotopaxi refuge to ready their summit bid on their expeditions main objective.
The team climbed their first 4000m peak, Pasochoa (4200m). Although cloudy, it looks like they had a good time. However, it looks like Graham discovered he was carrying Yulia's packed lunch🤣. No change there Graham!
It would seem the evening was spent celebrating in the bar. Dave nearly adhered to the AP no drinks policy, but he is the boss, so we'll let him off...
Today, the team have been exploring Quito and adjusting to the new alitutde.
The team will fly to Quito today.

Dave Pritt is the Director of Adventure Peaks. With over 30 years of mountaineering feats, he is a very experienced high altitude mountaineer who has led expeditions to K2, Broad Peak and five Everest expeditions. Dave has completed the 7 summits, led an expedition to Ski the South Pole Last Degree, Satopanth in India and in 2007 he guided Ian McKeever to break the world record for the seven summits in 156 days. He is lucky enough to have climbed on the majority of our advertised peaks, but the Tien Shan remains his favourite destination.
Good luck Yulia and Graham and Team with your climb.
