Leaders Dave Pritt & Robin Beadle.
Well done to all the team reaching the summit at 8am UK time this morning. They are now all back resting in camp at the Betlemi Hut. We look forward to seeing the photos, when they get chance to send some through.
Today the team made an ascent of Mt Ortsveri (4360m). Andrew, Yulia, Angus, Paul & Jamie reached the summit with the Robin, Beka & Zura. Alan Georgios and Corbin decided to head back down to camp from the ridge at 4300m. Well done to all. The team are now focusing on Wednesday for their summit attempt on Kazbek and so far the weather is looking good.
The team arrived into Tbilisi on the morning of the 4th August. There was only one person delayed by their flight. Once the team had assembled they were transferred to Kazbegi for their final preparations and kit checks. They then started their ascent to the Altihut, visiting Tsminda Sameba, the highest orthodox church in the world. The team are now staying at the top hut and today made an acclimatisation walk to 4200m. Tomorrow weather permitting they will make their ascent of Mt Ortsveri. The photo's below are a collection of Yulia's and the Zura's.
The group will arrive into Tbilisi on the 4th of August to then head to Kazbegi.
