Leader: Rebekah Beadle
The team made their way to K2 basecamp under heavy cloud and then over a very snowy pass to make it back down to Hushe before an early exit into Skardu, their final mountain town before their flight to Islamabad.
The team have arrived at base camp today, with some wet weather on their trek in, but continued views of K2 make up for it.
Rebekah has called in today, the team are in high spirits as it's clear skies, they have just reached Concordia and they have the most amazing views of K2. They are having a rest day at Concordia tomorrow and will then trek up to K2 base camp. Rebekah says the weather has been very hot, but views have been so dramatic, that it distracts you from the heat of the day.
We have left the final camp on the land at Urdukas and today broke out onto the glacial moraine to the camp at Goro II. From here you are rewarded with dramatic views of the mighty Masherbrum and Gasherbrum IV.
The team are all doing well and making their way up the Blatoro Glacier towards Concordia. Currently, they have an amazing camping spot at Urdukas overlooking the mighty granite towers of Cathedral.
The team enjoyed their walk today from Paiju to Khorbutse.
After months of preperation, the team embark on their long awaited expedition. Making their way to the airport for their flights to Islamabad and beyond.
