25th July 2025 - Descent to Base Camp

22nd July 2025 - Load Carry to Camp 2

Today, we made a carry to Camp 2. However, at approx. 5100m, we decided to retreat. This was due to the weather forecast. The prosect of making a descent in bad weather in a serious, exposed location was a major cause of concern. This meant that we had plenty of time for a leisurely descent back to Camp 1 with lots of learning along the way. Another splendid night at Camp 1 and a bivouac for Philippe.

21st July 2025 - Climb to Camp 1

We climbed to Camp 1 for our summit push. A beautiful evening brought the day to a close.
