Lobuche and Gokyo Ri 4th April 2026 Expedition News

19th April 2026 - Summit success on Lobuche
14th April 2026 - Gokyo Ri
The team have reached Gokyo Ri, the first major milestone in their journey. Some fantastic pictures were supplied to go with their update today, too!
11th April 2026 - Machermo
The team have made great progress and is now at Machermo, with a rest day tomorrow, ready to continue onwards.
8th April 2026 - Namche Bazaar
The team has now arrived in a snowy Namche Bazaar after their delayed start, looking forward to the rest of their trip.
6th April 2026 - In Ramechhap
The team left Kathmandu in the early hours of this morning, but unfortunately weather has delayed their flight to Lukla. All being well, they will fly tomorrow morning.
5th April 2026 - Arrival in Kathmandu

About Nathan Bursnell
Nathan is a passionate hiker and climber who discovered a love for the mountains despite originally hailing from the famously flat lands of Norwich. Now rarely far from steep ground, he spends much of his time trad climbing in the local area, with regular trips to the Peak District to enjoy classic British rock routes.
Beyond the UK, he has experience sport climbing in Greece, Spain and even Thailand, alongside a growing passion for high-altitude and alpine environments. His mountaineering highlights include summiting Island Peak in Nepal and visiting Everest Base Camp, as well as completing a range of alpine climbs around Chamonix, including successful ascents of Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
