This monring, Chris, Laura & Allan reached the summit of Island Peak at 7:10am local time. Paul decided to stay at Chhukhung while the rest of the team made their summit bid. After a long day, the team are now all back in Chhukhung and will descend to Pangboche tomorrow.
Today, the team have crossed the mighty Amphulapsa Pass and are enjoying the luxuries that only a teahouse can provide after several days camping.
Chris has called in to say they summited Mera Peak at 7:30am local time. For those just climbing Mera Peak, they have now descended down to Khare. For the rest of the group staying on for Island Peak, they have now reached Kongma Dingma.
Today, the team have trekked up to Khare. The team were saddeneed to see Phil head back to Kathmandu this morning after persistent abdominal paines, but wish him a speedy recovery.

Another relatively short day today taking just over 5 hours to reach Khola Kharkha.
Today, the team journeyed from Nashing Dingma to Cholem Kharka, traversing a trail that began beneath the canopy of jungle. As they climbed higher, the lush vegetation gradually gave way to sweeping alpine tundra, revealing a wild and expansive mountain landscape. Below are some photos from the group.

Today the team have trekked to Pangoma. This days trek leaves you with a feeling that you are leaving the moutnains behind you as you move more into the foothills, before heading up into the Hinku valley.
After an early start with a drive from Kathamndu to Ramechhap, the team eventually made the flight to Lukla.They will now start their 8 day trek to Khare, the last village before Mera Peak base camp.
Tomorrow, the team will make their flight to Kathmandu, arriving on Sunday. Weather permitting they will take the domestic flight to Lukla on Monday, where they will start their 9 day trek to Mera Peak base Camp.
