Congratulations to the group! And a big thank you to the weather for remaining positive during the teams summit. They set off early morning on the 4th, and reached the summit and witnessed a beautiful view of the mountainous landscape around them, with little to no snow in sight! Ater soaking in the views and having a well deserved rest, the group descented and headed back to the refuge. After, it is believed that the team had a little celebration... as we can see below!
Toubkal calls! The group is truly en route to their end destination. Ascending the Mizane Valley, they finally arrive at their home for the next two nights: the Toubkal Refuge at 3207m. The photos offer a good idea of the snow conditions. Mules are only used if snow levels permit. Snow and mules are not a good combination... For two of our group, Toubkal has been their snowy Nemesis! Attempt number one in January 2026 was thwarted by avalanches and deep snow. The sight of the mules is a good omen. Bonne chance team!
The trek has truly begun. Hilltop villages merge in the red landscape and Toubkal awaits
Today the team set off to their destination and will land in Morocco.
