25th July

The team are now in Skardu, relaxing, before their flight to Islamabad on Thursday.

21st July

Pablo has send a message that today the team have crossed over the Gondogoro La.  We will get pictures just as soon as they are back in signal.

20th July

On Monday evening the team decided they did not want to attempt Pastore Peak, but were happy to focus their attention on trekking out over the Gondogoro La. Today they have reached Ali Camp, the camp before the mountain pass. In they early hours of tomorrow morning they will head up onto the Gondogoro La, reaching it at first light and hopefully will be rewarded with one of the most spectacular views in the Karakorum.

18th July

Today the team have been training at Broad Peak base camp. Tomorrow they will move over to Pastore Peak base camp.

16th July

The team are now at Concordia and will head up to Broad Peak Base Camp tomorrow. Concordia is the most famous campsite in all the Karakorum, with views of four 8000m peaks: K2, Broad
Peak, GI and GII and many more stunning peaks.

13th July

Today the team have crossed the Baltoro Glacier and trekked to Urdukas, the last of the land based managed camps. From here on in the team will be camping on the glacial moraine.

9th July

After their final preparations at Skardu the team have now made the last part of the road journey to Askole. Tomorrow they will start their journey by foot into some of the most spectacular mountain scenery this planet has to offer. Awaiting them, along the way, will be the mighty views of: Trango Tower, Nameless Tower, Cathedral, Lobsang Spires, Masherbrum, Mustagh Tower, Mitre Peak, Gasherbrum IV Chogalisa, Broad Peak and the jewel in the crown, K2.

Sandwiched between the 8000m giants of K2 and Broad Peak, Pastore Peak is a beautiful 6000m peak located in the heart of the Karakoram. This expedition also takes in a visit to K2 Base camp and a return journey over the Gondogoro La. Follow the team from 7th July.
