A new generation of walking crampons. Ideal for the British winter with its mixed terrain.
Ten points in contact with ice while you’re walking, 12 that bite into the slope during traverses. This has been made possible because the third pair of points are shorter and wider apart. On top of this the last two front points have a double angulation to maintain bite when descending or traversing sideways.
The crampons points are short and designed for the new requirements of “mixed modern’s” alternating ice and rock. Sharp points are ideal for anchoring on ice “cauliflowers” and when in traction or adherence. Even the soles of the most modern boots are perfectly covered.
Semi-rigid model in one adjustable size.
The bar can be regulated by hand, in two different lengths. These New version has a new binding made in “bi-components” giving greater efficiency and lightness.
It is really an “all seasons” crampon, very light and takes up a minimum of space as it folds up completely on itself.
The Grivel Air Tech crampon, a slightly pared down version of the legendary G12, features shorter points all round for better efficiency when walking and more stability on mixed terrain. Ideal for everything from winter walks through to moderate climbs.
The rear step-in (C2 rated) bindings are compatible with both ridged and semi-ridged mountaineering boots. The front toe baskets are made from Zytel DuPont plastic, designed specifically for use in alpine conditions and one of the toughest available. These versatile retainers will hold any boot securely including those with worn toe welts, those without toe welts and those covered by over-boots.
Come complete with Antibott plates to prevent clogging in warn snow conditions, asymmetric chassis for an optimum fit with modern footwear and dual position rear heel bail with micro adjust levers for the perfect clipping pressure.
