A group of 8 clients ventured on the Ultimate Everest Base Camp Trek in October 2016. Taking in the beautiful Gokyo valley, Cho La Pass and descending down the Everest valley, this trek really is the ultimate route to Everest Base Camp. Read Trip Leader Alice Chivers’ report of the trek here.
Another summit bid is accomplished. A big well done to the team for their efforts. Mick reached the summit around 4:40am followed by Chris, Andrew Whyte & Phurba at 5am. Andy Taylor & Lahkpa reached the summit around 5:30am. Due to the wind & cold Chris said they spent around 15 minutes on the top before heading back down the mountain.
18th April: David has just phoned in to let us know that Lee, himself and the climbing sherpas reached the summit this morning at 9 a.m, so Congratulations! Jacqui unfortunately was not feeling 100% so opted to stay at High Camp at 5250m and Sarah reached 5450m before turning back.
28th October: We are now at Machermo at 4465m, higher than many of the group have ever been before! The weather has been beautiful during the day times with clear bright sunny skies and very little wind. The last few evenings it has snowed, but this has melted in the morning sun.
