SUMMIT SUCCESS. At 2:25am. The team are on their way back down the mountain.
For many people, choosing to climb a 7000m peak is the next big step up, so how do you make sure you choose the right one? We’ve put together a guide to help you decide.

Another summit bid is accomplished. A big well done to the team for their efforts. Mick reached the summit around 4:40am followed by Chris, Andrew Whyte & Phurba at 5am. Andy Taylor & Lahkpa reached the summit around 5:30am. Due to the wind & cold Chris said they spent around 15 minutes on the top before heading back down the mountain.
1st May: We have made a successful journey through Nepal and into Tibet and arrived at base camp a few days ago. All well here at BC. The sun is shining and the team are having a rest day after getting to the black rocks at 6000m yesterday. We plan to move up to ABC in the next few days.

21st May: Rob, Chris & Geoff all reached the summit at 10:45am this morning. They are now back at ABC and will head down to BC to meet the rest of the team tomorrow. Rob said the ascent was very cold and windy, so it was a relief not to hang around for too long on the summit.

1 Oct – Everyone’s now safely back in Kathmandu and enjoying some well deserved R&R.Summit Success! Rob Gauntlet and James Hooper become the youngest British Climbers to summit Everest at the age of 19 yrs 7 days and 19yrs & 21 days, both are close friends
