Tien Shan Unclimbed

Expedition: Tien Shan Unclimbed Peaks
Leader: Jason Bailey

3rd August
The plan to visit the unclimbed horseshoe paid off. We managed to reach 2 of the 5 summits. One was 4700m and the second was 4800m. Both had great routes with down climbing, snow climbing and general good mixed climbing all day. The clients really enjoyed it. Last day tomorrow so we hope to have another day out if the weather holds for us. Home soon!

29th July
We grabbed a couple of peaks today with a tough but rewarding days climbing. Both were unclimbed and around 4400m in height giving us views of the large number of peaks in this area, it’s stunning!

It was very tiring though today with lots of climbing over shingle but tomorrow we’ll have a rest day, this gives us an opportunity to plan the next days climbing to 4 or 5 peaks on a horseshoe which we will attempt.

23rd July
International Flight to Bishkek with an early morning arriva, rest and recoup and final preparations. All the clients are in, kit checked. All food is brought and off at 9am tomorrow.
Cheers
Jason
