Morocco's 4 x 4000m Peaks Challenge

From £1,095
Altitude 4,167m Grade: T4

Morocco's '4-peaks challenge' climbing M'Goun, Ras, Timesguida and Toubkal visiting two diverse regions of Morocco.

Morocco's 4 x 4000m Peaks Challenge tackles the four highest summits in Morocco in 10 days! On this challenge we will be aiming to make ascents of the four highest summits in the High Atlas Mountains, all over 4000m, culminating in the highest, Mount Toubkal at 4167m. Three of the peaks are conveniently close together in the Toubkal National Park just 70km south of Marrakech. However to 'bag' the fourth summit we have to travel to the central High Atlas to find Mt. M’Goun. Our tried and tested itinerary first ascends M’Goun ‘steadily’ and once this is ‘in the bag’ we should all be well acclimatised for the ascents of the other three.

Extend your stay with extra time in Marrakech to explore the wonders of the souks. Please contact us for further details.

Insurance

It is essential for a trip of this type that you are adequately insured. When researching insurance options, please ensure the policy covers you for the following:

  • Cancellation or curtailment
  • Helicopter rescue (most insurance companies will no longer cover for ‘search and rescue’ but providing you stay with the group, they will assist with ‘rescue’)
  • Repatriation
  • The altitude that you are expected to attain
  • The location especially when travelling to Antarctica
  • Grade of trek/climb/expedition
  • Medical cover

Adventure Peaks partners with Global Rescue to offer the world’s leading travel protection services. Medical and security emergencies happen. When they do, we rely on Global Rescue to provide our clients with medical, security, travel risk and crisis response services. Without a membership, an emergency evacuation could cost over $100,000. More than one million members trust Global Rescue to get them home safely when the unexpected happens. We highly recommend our clients enroll with Global Rescue, in particular for peaks over 7000m:

We walked through the old towns and villages en route to the first mountain. It was amazing to see how the locals live and how it is been unchanged for hundreds of years.
